As part of the maintenance, cleaning of knapsack sprayer requires pesticide label, knap sack sprayer, clean water, plastic sheet, detergent, paper towel, plastic bag, small container, record sheet and personal protective equipments.

Knapsack sprayer cleaning

For good maintenance and cleaning, use safe area that is away from animal, children and surface water. Wear personal protective equipment to avoid contamination and continue by by adding a litre of clean water to sprayer tank.

Similarly, if label require detergent, add to the water, replace lid and shake. Remove nozzle and tank basket filter and pump saturated solution into tank.

Furthermore, check lid filter basket, nozzle and its filter whether are clean before fit in then spread rinsed water onto un spread part of treatment area. Use only water to rinse the tank twice more in the same way.

Wash out side tank, dispose off rinsed water safely and replace caps of containers to store them safely. In case of any remaining water, identify un cropped weedy area and spread to rise the tank.

Finally, never pour rinses in the drains of any single point.
