As the demand for beetroot increses, farmers need to adapt new technologies to increase and impove on the level of beet root growing and production as well. Being a highly nutritious vegetable with 10% carbohydrates, 2% protein folates with vitamins B6, vitamin C, iron, manganes and potassium, farmers require best beet plants for best viable seeds as these lead to high quality beet root production i a given season.

Seed management

Because beet plants grow well in rich loamy, slightly acidic well drained soils with no impendiments, icorporate trace minerals for fertilizing and directly plant seeds i soil at 3 inches deep, water and mulch for the plants to germinate in a week and grow. Similarly, as beet root seeds are clusters of several seds known as multigerm, pollination is done by wind and after they grow and dry out.
Dry seeds thoroughly and dont thresh them before rains start and after collecting seeds, keep them indoors for more 2 weeks and once dry, pulp off individual seeds from seed stalks and finally place the dry seeds in the glass jar and keep them in cool dark dry location for storage.
