Selection of eggs
Always, choose mature, healthy eggs from birds that associated with cocks during laying. Also, do not stress birds during mating to ensure production of high quality eggs. Furthermore, select use eggs from well fed breeder hens and avoid incubating eggs from close related hens and cocks to avoid incidences of bad traits. Additionally, avoid incubating eggs with cracks, thin shells as well as eggs with abnormalities.
Storage of eggs
Ensure to collect eggs frequently to avoid exposing them to much heat as well as protect them from becoming dirty. Additionally, store eggs in a cool, humid and well aerated place while ensuring that the are well placed in trays with the wide part facing upwards. Lastly, allow cool eggs to warm slowly before incubating to avoid moisture condensation.
