Being a highly nutritious crop of high value to the farmers, cucurbit farming and production need an appropriate technology. As cucurbit like rich moist soils, cucurbite family include plants such as zucchinis, cucumber, melons, pumpkins and squarsh. Dig a hole, add chicken manure and plant and also add rock dust around the plants after planting and waetr and put stakes near the roots.

Cucurbit management

First, prevent powdery mildew by making plants stress free and plant resistant varieties and also se baking soda by mixing 2 tea spoons in 1L of water and apply on leaves. For chillis, papers and egg plants, plant t 30cm apart and plant beneficail flowers in between lines.
Fertilise plants and feed the soil using chicken manure and sheep pellets and finally add mineral fertilizer to plants and water.
