Being a highly nutritious crops rich in nutrients, onions and leeks production, quality and quantity is determined by the level of technology used. Because onions and leek are cold weather crops which need warm soils, a farmer should transplant onion seedling when they are 5 weeks old. Leeks are planted in a trench and onions on mounds of free friable drained soils. Add see weed liquid to water to boost leeks and deep its roots in the solution.

Crop management

First, wash thr roots in solution, cut off some leave and bottom roots after wahing using scisors for proper growth. Similarly, make holes 20cm apart to plant leeks in trenches as onions grow big on mounds because of extra good drainage.
Deep onions in water and wash off soils, cut off some leaves and bottom roots of onions and using a stick, make holes 20cm apart on mounds and place onions in them. Furthermore, Spray onions to prevent pests and diseases and add compost to the bed before planting to make soil friable and also at 6 weeks after planting.
Finally, water the crops after planting for the first 3 days and make the garden weed free.
