As one of the living organisms that affect the quality of the yield in the field, slugs, snails and moths can be prevented from the field using simple technologies. Just like hunging codling moth traps on the tree, a farmer can equally prevent the snails and slugs by picking them off the plants at night using torch light and put in the jar which are later disposed in the morning and also one can use coffee grounds and garden lime as they are quite acidic to control.

Pest management

First, mix a tea spoon of yeast, white sugar, water and put container at ground level in the garden however a farmer can also use beer to control slugs and snails. Similarly, put folded news papers in containers and put it upside down leaving smal entry for the snails and slugs to hide into them. As these hide from sunlight during day, remove and dispose them while tp prevent moths, cut 2 holes on upper either sides of plastic bottle for moths to fly into it. Mix water with molases, vineger and washing liquid to make sticky and ammonia.
Stir up the solution, put into the plastic bottles and hung them on tree. Finally, check progress of codling moth during rowing season.
