if your plant is attacked by mealybugs, you can cut the infected branch and throw it away from the garden. This is important as it removes the source of pest infestation from the field and prevents the spread of mealybugs to the entire garden. If the pest infestation is minor, you can spray using slightly warm water.
Other control measures
Collect 100g of boiled rice, put the boiled rice in one liter of water, and keep it for 10 days. After 10 days, the liquid will have turned into a pesticide. Collect the liquid and spray it on the infected parts of the plant and then clean to remove the mealy bugs. After, Mix 5 ml of neem oil and 1 liter of water and spray on the infected part and repeat after 3 to 4 days.
Use shampoo or liquid soap and mix 5 ml with 1 liter of water and spray the infected plant part twice a week.
Spray the infected part with 6 ml of neem oil and 10 bottle-tops of shampoo mixed with 1 liter of water.
Mix 1 tablespoon of turmeric powder with 5ml of neem oil and 10 bottle-tops of liquid soap in 1 liter of water and spray on the mealybug infects parts.
You can use 3ml of any pesticide in 1 liter of water. Examples of pesticides to use include cypermethrin and imidacloprid.
