Field management practices
Peppers prefer rich well draining soils. Peppers are one of the crops that grow well in raised beds, containers and grow bags.
Pick a sunny location for growing peppers with at least 6 to 8 hours of sun. To plant the pepper, dig a hole that is a little bit deeper than the pepper root system, insert the seedling and cover.
Space the peppers about 18 inches apart in rows and mulch the plating area.
Just like other plants, peppers prefer less often but deep watering. Ensure that you are planting your peppers in deep fertile soils enriched with compost.
A pepper is fully mature when the pepper has reached to the full colour of the pepper. Know the mature colour of the variety you are planting.
Harvest them carefully when mature to avoid bruising the plant.
