During springtime Japanese bees start swarming for different reasons like the colony has grown too big for the space they are occupying or to reproduce to keep the bee population going. The bees are captured in the spring or early summer months.
To reunite the primary and the cast swarm first plot the queen, it’s darker and larger than the worker bees hence easy to spot. use a blower on the cast swarm this will cause the bees to fly and the pheromones of the queen bee in the primary swarm will attract the bees from the cast swarm. First, suit up before blowing the bees. After the swarm has settled down, use a brush and a net to capture the bees, and use a wire to close the net after capturing the bees. Hang the net in a stand and place the hive above it, untie the net to allow the bees to migrate to the darker side that is in the pile box, It takes about 10mins. Create a small gap in the hive to allow bees outside to join the swarm. Take the pile box and join it with the others in the hive stand.
