Indigenous birds benefits
Usually, indigenous birds are preferred by many farmers since they are resistant to infections and digest. Additionally, indigenous birds can easily extract nutrients from feeds and also have the ability to scavenge feeds on their own however it is recommended to always provide supplementary feeds on a free-range system.
Feed formulation
Start by measuring 34kg whole maize, 12kg soya, 8kg silverfish, 10 kg maize brand, and 6kg lime, thereafter grind the measured ingredients separately and mix them properly. When formulating feeds produce feeds that will last for only 1 month to maintain quality.
