Black soldier benefits
First, black soldier fly larvae increases broiler activities thus preventing paralysis, illnesses and helps in fat distribution. Also it prevents and eliminates lameness, boosts immunity and weight gain. Additionally, they also increase broiler survival rates for up to 80%, contains proteins that helps to develop immunity. Lastly, they also improve digestion of feeds and reduce food conversion ratio.
Preparation and feeding
Start by harvesting black soldier larvae, thereafter kill them with dry water, dry, grind them into powder and add 10 % of the prepared powder black soldier meal into broiler feeds. Alternatively, you can also feed live black soldier fly larvae directly to birds as this also gives positive results.
