Beetroot management
First, put potting mix in pallets making sure the soil is dry to easily separate sedlings during potting. By grabing of leaves, place the crop in the holes made in soils of potting mix and water the seedlings and transplant in 2 weeks.
Because too much nitrogen in soils encourage leaf growth at expense of bulb, add phosphorus, potasium and rock dust to the garden and make rows to the garden and plant directly the seeds into ground.
Additionally, cover seeds and water after sowing and plant seedlings 5cm apart and water the garden. To test for pH of soils, use soils of 5cm below the soil surface, dry it, put 1cm of dried soil in testing tube and add barrium sulphate andpH solution upto 2.5cm and skale.
Put down for 10 minutes for the colour to develop, use soil pH chart to determine the pH and also the crops to grow.
Finally, add lime to the garden i soil is acidic.
