Herbal pest repellants are easy to make, cheap, effective, do not pollute soil, animals and environment as well as making food safe for consumption. Additionally, before preparing herbal repellants always start by planting vigorous seeds that are less vulnerable to insect pests as well as planting flowering plants and repellant plants around the field to attract pollinating insects and repel harmful insects respectively. Also after application of the pesticide place filtered leaves in between vegetable crops to increase soil fertility. During application mix 1 litre of herbal solution in 10 litre of water.

Repellant type one

For 10 litres, use 1kg of mixed insect repellant leaves, 1kg of bitter leaves and 1kg of aromatic leaves. These should be chopped so as to release odour faster. Additionally, add 10 litres of water and 1 litre cow urine to speed up the process, thereafter place the container in shed and cover. Furthermore, stir materials daily, filter solution after 1 week and store in air tight containers. If well stored the solution can stay for 2 months.

Repellant type two

Alternatively, grind 250 grams of ginger, 250 grams of garlic, 250 grams chilli and mix the paste well. Thereafter add 5 litres of water, boil, cool the mixture and add 1 litre of cow urine. Store the solution for 1 week, filter and store in air tight containers, if well stored the solution can last for 3 months. However before application grind and add 1 kg hibiscus leaves.
