Boxed bees/ a package of bees consists of a feeder, ten thousand bees, and a queen bee in her own container.
Bee hive colonization
To install boxed bees into a hive, first, remove some frames from the bee hive to create some space for the bees.
Spray the bees with sugar water to keep them calmer.
Remove the feeder and shake the bees into the hive.
Replace the frames in the hive and give the bees some food to jumpstart the colony.
Add a lid spacer and then cover the hive with a lid.
Put the package of the bees in front of the hive to allow the few remaining bees to find their way to the rest of the bees in the hive.
Keep checking on the bees to be sure that the bee package was successfully installed.
