Organic liquid fertilizer is suitable for use on any garden plants like vegetables, flowers, or fruits. To make organic liquid fertilizer, you need mustard cake. The mustard cake can be found in the market at places like oil mills, cattle food stores, and fertilizer shops. Mustard cake comes in both big pieces and small sizes.

Mustard cake

The mustard cake contains high protein content making it a perfect organic fertilizer for plants as it provides high quantities of Nitrogen. It also contains many micronutrients that are used by plants to grow.
Has good quantities of Nitrogen, Phosphorous, and potassium that are needed by crops to grow and also prevents a variety of diseases in plants.

Liquid fertilizer preparation

First, you need a pot or any other container. Pour water into the pot/container depending on the amount of mustard cake that you have. Use 1 liter of water per 100g of mustard cake.
Put the small pieces of mustard cake into the water. Stir well once daily and cover but leave a small opening to allow oxygen to enter into the mixture.
Put the pot under a shade for one week to allow fermentation to take place.
After 7 days, stir for 4 to 5 minutes and filter the liquid. After filtering, dilute the liquid by pouring it in water at a ratio of 1-liter liquid in 10 liters of water and after mixing well, the liquid fertilizer is ready for use by plants.
Use the fertilizer either in the morning or evening and use it once every 10 to 15 days.
