»This animation explains the best practices for bag storage of grain using a bag stacking technique.«

Proper bag stacking in storage rooms helps farmers and traders to reduce post harvest losses of grains.

Early detection of problems in store allows application of corrective measures to reduce post harvest losses. Store grains on raised plat forms to allow air circulate freely under stored bags.

Arrange grain bags in locking pattern to ensure stable and secure stack. For individual pallets do not stack more than 8 layers in height but this could be more for larger heights.

Leave enough space between bags, outer walls and with in sacks for easy inspection and determine conservation conditions if rodents are there.

Conduct periodic rotations of bags under high humidity and temperatures so that they can be aired out.
