Feed formulation
First, broiler feed should be 22-24% Digestible Crude Protein (DCP) and for starter feeds for 1-4 weeks, broilers use 57.2kg whole maize, 17.2kg fish meal, 20kg soy bean and 5.8kg lime. Add 140g of premix which are vitamin and trace minerals, toxin binders, growth enhancers, amino aqcids of 70 g lysine and threonine.
Equally for broiler finisher ffeds, mix 44kg maize, 34kg soy bean full fat, 2kg ground nut cake, 12kg brewer dry grain, 4kg maize offal, 3kg bone meal, 0.2kg methionine, 0.25kg lysine, 0.25kg vitamine premix and minerals, 0.25kg salt, 1.0-20g of rach of toxin binber, coccodiostat and growth enhancers like zinc bacittracin.
Isolate a number of chicken, feed them observing their performances, use good ingredients and raw materials to make feed and never to use rottenmaize to make chicken feeds. Buy quality fish meal and make micro nutrients, amino aids, premix first before mixing with rest of feed.
