Egg production is one of the most lucrative ventures today and most profitable business, chicken lays eggs with increase in food production.
Chickens get a condition called CRD when they get in contact with soaked sawdust. Soaked sawdust produces ammonia gas which affects the chicken.
Preventing disease
Increasing the beddings more than 5 cm helps the chicken stay comfortable. Laying boxes should be raised all together and fixed on empty journey bag at the door. This acts like a curtain so that the bird gets some darkness as chickens love laying in dark areas.
Chicken drinkers should not be too high or too low. Put them at a bar where they will drink comfortably with less spillage. Build patches where they will be resting, this gives the birds much comfort hence more eggs.
Feeding chicken
Make a concrete hole at the entrance of the house for disinfection and wear a protective gear while visiting the farm.
Chicken lays eggs with increase in food production, keep records and monitor the age of the birds. At week 36 feed them well and give them multivitamin, the birds egg production is between 94% and 96%. At week 52, the birds starts to decrease the egg production.
