Being nutritious for livestock, barley growing and production is highly determined by the level of technology which is employed by the farmer on the farm. As a farmer usesclean barley seedto grow hydroponic fodder, he should also use clean alminium tray to avoid rust cean water for high quality fodder. Weigh the amount of barley seeds that can fit in tray and soak them in water in the bucket for not more than 4 hoursand cover them in bucket with a perforated lid to allow oxygen flow.

Crop management

First, moisten seeds every 12 hours during the first 48 hours and the seeds germinate 2 days aftr soaking. After incubation of 48 hours, transfer seeds to the alminium tray and spread evenly and place the ray on slope with perforated end of it on lower side of slope.
Similarly, water barley at least 3 times a day and harvest the fodder on day 4 for poultry, day 6 for pigs and rabbits and day 8 for goats, cows and sheep.
