Earth worms are advantageous in both plant growth and making compost that helps for faster plant growth. Making compost is cheap and can be done in the shortest time improving income generation.

Earth worms tunnel soil helping in water sinking, increase soil moisture, plant root penetration, recycle nutrients from deep soil layers. Earth worms aid faster compost decomposition, makes compost cheap and easy to make.

Making compost

Dig a circle 8 finger deep in a shady area to prevent direct exposure of compost to sunshine, align polythene inside circle, put concrete ring on top to protect compost from wetness and death of earth worms. Add basket of sand, broken brick, loose soil, cut banana root, cow dung separately for two layers. Dig a small hole in the middle, fill it with handful of earthworms, cover with cow dung, sprinkle water and cover with polythene to provide conducive environment for earth worms.
