Molasses is a byproduct of crushed sugarcane, and sugar beets, used as feed binders to increase palatability. It is also added to water to increase water intake due to its sweetness. Additionally, molasses also help to build heart and muscles. Benefits of molasses: They promote muscle and heart health for better chicken growth. Types and usage

There are five types of molasses and these include light, dark, black strap,  and sulfured molasses. Blackstrap is the most preferred type of molasse. This is because black strap molasse contains iron, magnesium, potassium, and calcium needed for better chicken health. When giving molasses to birds, mix 0.5 liters of molasses with 5 gallons of water, however, do not give molasses to baby chicks as this may kill them.
