Organic fertilizers are made in many ways and one of them is extraction from seaweed.

Seaweed extract is one of the best organic fertilizers used to increase overall plant growth but all its benefits are obtained when the fertilizer is used in the right way.

Seaweed fertilizer

Seaweed fertilizer is an organic fertilizer that’s made using marine plants or weeds that are most known as algae and kelps.
The weeds are collected and processed by a scientific method where a dark pigment is extracted. It’s the pigment that is used as a fertilizer.
The fertilizer contains a large amount of non-nitrogenous organic nutrients including almost all trace metals including calcium, potassium, magnesium, zinc, iron, Iodine, and vitamins.

Fertilizer usage

The fertilizer can be used both as a basal fertilizer and as foliar fertilizer but in both, it’s important to know that pure seaweed fertilizer should not always be used directly on plants but needs to always first be diluted.
To use it as a basal fertilizer, dilute the fertilizer and pour it directly onto the root zone of plants. The fertilizer is diluted at 2 to 3ml per ml of water.
To use as a foliar fertilizer, dilute the seaweed in a spray can and spray over the plant leaves.  The dilution should be between 2 to 3 ml per liter. The fertilizer should be used either early morning or late evening.
