»Vertical grow bag setup«
Vertical grow bags are very helpful to farmers living in urban areas with limited space for farming, they also act as demonstration centers for urban farmers thus generating income.
When establishing a vertical grow bag garden at home before starting always turn the vertical bag upside down 2 times so as to put the tag outside. Additionally the growing bag should be placed on a flat surface to facilitate proper crop and root establishment. The process requires materials such as 3 and 1/2 wheelbarrows of manure, moist soil, 1kg DAP fertilizer, 2kg lime, medium stones and a net bag.
Filling bag
Start by mixing soil with lime, thereafter add organic manure and mix well. Secondly, the fill bag with 5 spades of soil and pull it up with last holes visible, then add 10 spades of soil and compress all around. Thirdly, spread DAP fertilizer at edges, add 10 soil spades, compress and compact well.
Fixing pebbles
Place container with pebbles 20cm from ground to facilitate drainage, add DAP around, add 10 soil spades and gently compress. Furthermore, pull the container up to add more stones and add 10 spades of soil, compress repeatedly to fill the bag. Lastly, plant leafy vegetables both on sides and on the top and water 20 liters for every 2 days.
