Being a highly nutitious crop which fetches high prices due to its demand on market, okra can easily be harvested and stored easily. As a rich crop rich in vitamin C, iron and good for pregnant women, okra farming brings money in all seasons and one need to harvest okra before it is bcomes fibrous using a knife every 2 days and the young pods are left for the next harvesting of the crop,

Okra management

First, use well ventilated containers to collect harvested okra,  keep them in shade,  put in basket and cover with a cotto wet cloth to keep it fresh for a week. Equally, use a desert fridge to store okra up to 3 weeks washing it once daily or cut okra into slices of less tham1cm and dry them in shade to be stored uto a year.
