Crop management
First, beet root need light, airy sandy loam soil mixture that drain well and retain moisture easily as well and also need soil of neutral pH as they are susceptible to alkaline and acidic soils. Dont over fertilize beets as they are direcdtly sown in full sun location at spacing 1cm deep by 30cm apart.
Similarly, plant during early to late spring and in summer to early fall and planting is done either by trenching or surface methods and fill up bed with organic potting mix and level the bed. Soak soil and then plant seeds as beet seeds are a cluster called multigerm and cover them with potting mix and mulch with clean straw and water.
Seeds germinate in 8 days and thining is done at 2 weeks after planting at a spacing of 3 inches apart between plants and keep plants well watered.
6-7 days, beets are ready for harvesting and store beets in fridge after harvesting and never water them when not to be eaten right away.
