As carrots are planted half an inch deep and then mulched for germination, a farmer should use potting mix to plant them and should not fertilize them with ntrogen. Soak soil with water before planting and plant after and cover seeds with thin layer of potting mix and mulch and water as well.
Similarly in summer, water daily and thin when they reach 4 inches tall leaving an inch between plants and provide fertilizers rich in P and K when they are 4 inches tall after thinning. Feed carrots also when they are 10 inches tall and harvest at 40-60 days for baby carrots, 60-80 days for mid-sized carrots and over 80 days for full grown carrots.
Only harvest carrots to be eaten right away and harvest full grown arrots when they have 12 inches tall. Loosen ground around carrot for harvesting and remove foliage after harvesting.
Finally, put carrots in bag, seal it and store.
