Women spend a lot of time watching the seeds and trying to keep away children, chickens and other animals. Another disadvantage is, that with drying seeds on the soil, different varieties can be mixed together.
Table drying
Take a bamboo table to dry you rice. This will have almost no costs. Except for the nails you can find materials in your area.
With drying seeds on the table, they stay dry. The wind helps to dry them. Whenever it starts to rain, you can cover the seeds fast, so they won‘t get wet. You can even dry your seeds in your house.
You can use the table in various ways. You could also dry fish or maize on it or use it as a storage location. With drying on a table, your animals aren‘t able to get to the seeds.
