Bengal goats originate from Bangladesh and their rearing is a lucrative business under proper planning and care. This makes them a good source of meat and kid production as they produce multiple kids twice a year.
Goat management
As Bengal goats are suitable for any climate, the are raised both on small and commercial scales and suitable for store fit farming system. Goat farming is a good source of income, employment and and need less labour as bengal goats are small sized animals that require less housing.
Similarly, about 10 sq ft space is required for every goat and 20-25 sq ft per goat under store fit system accompanied by good ventilation inside house and tightly constructed fence around to protect them from predators. Continue by cleaning house every morning and prevent it from dumping and provide very good quality nutritious feed to goats such as greensand give supplements for better growth. Provide fresh clean water ,keep bucks for breeding naturally and keep pregnant goats separate before kidding.
Furthermore, kids should be delivered in dry places and clean kid after birth. Feed kid on first milk a few hours after birth to increase the immunity and use artificial feeding when mothers‘ milk is insufficient.
Finally vaccinate goats and keep good relation with vet for diseases‘s prevention on the farm.
